Great question! Our services begin with a reading of Scripture to help centre and ground people as they come to the service. From there, a person will come up with their team to lead some singing. The words of each and every song can be found on the screens at the front of the room. After this, the pastor will come to the front and pray.
After the prayer, there will be a few announcements with respect to some upcoming events. When this is done, another individual will come up and read Scripture that is relevant to the message of that morning. When the reading is done, the pastor (or guest speaker) will come up and offer the message. When the message is done, there will be some singing, and then there will be given a blessing for people.
The first Sunday of every month, the church celebrates what is called communion. This is an invitation for all to come and receive a bread and juice to celebrate what Christ has done for us on the Cross.
Worship services are generally about 60-90 minutes (an hour to an hour and a half).
Honestly, everyone is welcome to wear whatever feels comfortable to them. We are more concerned about you enjoying your experience with us, more than having to meet a dress code. Most people will be dressed casually.
Worship services begin at 11:00 am every Sunday, unless otherwise stated.
Yes! We have a separate time for kids in a different room where kids can sing and learn about Jesus. This ministry is called Kids Church. The children will join the main service at 11am, and they will be released at about 11:30am, where the kids will enter into their own time and space of singing and learning. Parents are welcome to join their kids (if need be). Parents are required to sign-in their children for their safety and security. We take the protection of our kids very seriously.
The church is located inside the City Centre Community Centre building. We are located on the 3F in the building. Take the elevators up to the 3F and there will be a welcome team to greet you (with a smile!) to the church, register your vehicle, and receive a name tag.
You can park in the City Centre Community Centre building parkade. There will be labels for parking spots (labeled either Community Centre or TWU). Please park at all TWU labeled parking spots. When you arrive at the church, there will be a Welcome Team that will help you register your license plate online.
With this being said, we do have limited parking passes, so it is on a first come first serve basis. If there are no more parking passes, you will be required to pay for parking.
Yes! We currently have four small groups that meet throughout the year. You can find our small groups here.
